Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Rick Baron grew up in Lancaster County and after receiving his degree from Franklin and Marshall College, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He originally wanted to be a veterinary jack-of-all trades with a primary interest in surgery, but after three years of trying to wear those hats, he realized that small animal general practice was his true calling. Dr. Baron spent 1985 to 1986 as a practicing vet for a large university in Israel after which he and his wife decided to return to the Lancaster area to start both a practice and a family.A true classic rock fan but awful guitarist, in his free time he loves to travel and enjoy the outdoors with his wife and two sons. He participates in a variety of sports (although not good at any according to his sons) including hiking, biking, fishing, archery, and hockey.
