Dr. Deanna McFillin was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. Starting at a young age with her first feline pet, "Snuffy", and a passion for tigers, Deanna aspired to become a zoo veterinarian. During her undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, she discovered a fondness for dairy cattle while training a heifer for the Maryland Day Ag Show. Since then, she has worked on a dairy farm, taken classes at the National Zoo in Washington DC, and worked as a small animal veterinary assistant in her hometown. In 2015, she received her DVM from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. While her experiences and interests have ranged in many fields of veterinary medicine, her passion is still in feline medicine. She is joined in Las Vegas with her two cats, "Gibson" and "Harvey".
