Dr. James C. Brown graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1959. In addition to his veterinary degree, Dr. Brown also holds a Masters degree in Public Health. Before purchasing the Burlington Animal Hospital from Dr. Sellers in 1975, Dr. Brown worked in a wide variety of fields in veterinary medicine. He has treated horses and livestock, worked as a meat inspector for the USDA and worked as a veterinarian for the US Air Force Space Program. He also served as director for the Veterinary Medical Technology program in Sanford, NC from 1965-1975.Dr. Brown has semi-retired from veterinary medicine but you still may see him occasionally at our hospital. He spends his spare time with his grandsons, gardening, cooking and playing the piano.
