Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Tony Ioppolo obtained his undergraduate degree in Animal Science with a minor in Chemistry from Louisiana Tech University in 2004. He then went back home to Baton Rouge Louisiana where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in 2008. After graduating from Veterinary School he worked with multiple large practices in New Orleans, LA, Columbus GA, and Auburn AL for a few years before settling down in Southern Pines, NC. In July 2011 Dr. Tony joined Yadkin Park Animal Hospital in Southern Pines NC. His clinical interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, ultrasonography, dermatology, and dentistry. Dr. Tony Ioppolo also strongly believes in the benefit and importance of in home pet euthanasia when that time comes for dogs and cats. Dr. Tony has a golden retriever mix named Dexter, a barn cat, and a horse. Dr. Tony is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association. He enjoys horseback riding (eventing), working out, playing golf, hiking, fishing, biking, the outdoors, and photography in his spare time.
