Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Dennis F. Cloud is a General Practitioner and the Hospital Director of Rock Road Animal Hospital. He founded the practice in 1971.Asked who first inspired him to become a veterinarian, Dr. Cloud says that his lifelong love of animals was supported and nurtured by his parents. "I was raised in St. Louis and they would let me bring home any injured or stray animal that I found and let me take care of them," he says. "They also allowed me to raise homing pigeons on the roof of our home."For his undergraduate studies, Dr. Cloud attended the University of Missouri where he studied Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture. In 1964, he enrolled in the University of Missouri - Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine where he earned membership into the Phi Zeta Society, the honor society of veterinary medicine. Dr. Cloud graduated with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1968.His areas of special professional focus are dermatology and pediatrics. Dr. Cloud is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Association of Feline Practitioners. He also has served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Public Health Service at Colorado State University from 1968 to 1970.
