Veterinarian Overview
Stacey Bender. I grew up in Manchester, Missouri and worked as a veterinary assistant at West County Animal Clinic in late high school and during the summers while I was in college . Upon completing my undergraduate degree at St. Louis University, I attended veterinary school at the University of Missouri Columbia. After graduation, I moved to Florida to work at an equine/small animal hospital for 2 years, then worked at a small animal/exotic clinic in Illinois for the next 5 years. In April 2012, I joined the staff of West County Animal Clinic as a veterinarian. I share my home with a golden retriever (Sam), a miniature pinscher (Dax), two cats (Spider and Delilah), and an amazon parrot (Fredbird). My areas of interest in veterinary medicine include exotics, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and feline internal medicine. In my free time I enjoy horseback riding, working out, cooking and spending time with my family and friends at the Lake of the Ozarks.
