Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Shell grew up in Frederick County dreaming of being a veterinarian. Her youth was largely spent participating in 4-H exhibiting dairy cattle. She attended Hood College for her undergraduate studies. She loved her Hood College experience and was very active on campus and the student government association. Throughout high school and college Dr. Shell worked in kennels, on farms, as a veterinary receptionist, and as a veterinary technician to gain knowledge and experience within the veterinary field and to follow her true lovebeing surrounded by animals. Following college graduation Dr. Shell enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves as a 91 Tango. She was a veterinary technician for the US Army working with Military Working Dogs and participating in good will deployments vaccinating and deworming animals in South American countries. Dr. Shell attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her clinical studies at University of Pennsylvania and graduated in 2007. Since graduation she has worked as an Associate at a primary care veterinarian and as a Clinician and Director of an ER service in an emergency and critical care hospital. She has a wealth of experience providing wellness and preventative care as well as treating the sick and injured. She is excited to become your choice veterinarian for your beloved companions.
