Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Rebecca Ball graduated from The Ohio State University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She spent 4 years in the Army Veterinary Corps after graduation serving in North Dakota and Georgia. She completed a small animal medical and surgical internship at the University of Minnesota in 2006 and a small animal surgical residency and Masters degree at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbus, Ohio in 2009. Her Masters Thesis was In Vitro Biomechanical Comparison of Double Versus Single Plated Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy Constructs in Axial Loading. Dr. Ball stayed on at The Ohio State University after completion of her residency as a Clinical Instructor in Small Animal Surgery and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in February 2010. She most recently worked as an Associate Surgeon with BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Minnesota. Dr. Ball enjoys orthopedic, neurologic and soft tissue surgery with special interests in skin and reconstruction, oncologic, and thoracic surgery. She has authored or co-authored several papers in refereed journals and enjoys presenting continuing education seminars to veterinarians and veterinary technicians in state and local meetings. Dr. Ball enjoys cooking, crafting and especially spending time with her husband Steve and their son Stuart, dog Bob, and cat Wally.
