Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Ritter is a graduate from Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation he practiced in Iowa for 1½ years before moving to Illinois. After arriving in Illinois, he practiced medicine for small animal as well as Thoroughbred racehorses, focusing now on small animal medicine only. Dr. Ritter practiced for 15 years in Mokena, IL and for an additional 10 years in Crestwood, IL before joining Lansing Animal Hospital. His favorite part of veterinary medicine is surgery. He also enjoys meeting all our clients and practicing preventative care and diagnostic medicine. Dr. Ritter is married with two daughters. He also has two little Yorkies named Scout and Driver. He enjoys gardening, harness racing, and attending his daughters sports events in his spare time
