Dr. Cohen is a board-eligible emergency and critical care specialist who was born and raised in the Chicago area. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Although she enjoys all aspects of emergency and critical care, Dr. Cohen has a special interest in respiratory emergencies and transfusion medicine. She has been a member of the veterinary community for more than 12 years and appreciates being a part of the human-animal bond which is made evident in emergencies. When not caring for patients, Dr. Cohen and her husband, who is also a veterinarian, enjoy spending time with their pets, two dogs and a bunny, as well as exploring all of the great things the Chicago-area has to offer
