Veterinarian Overview
While growing up in northern Wisconsin Mary Lewis nurtured her love of animals by raising dogs, cats, ponies and quarter horses. Her college years were spent in Madison where she earned both her Bachelors degree in Bacteriology and her Veterinary degree from the University of Wisconsin. Since graduating from Vet school in 1988, Mary's years have primarily been filled with part-time veterinary medicine and full-time stay-at-home motherhood. "I have had the best of all worlds pursuing the career that I have always dreamed and being at home to raise our three children with my husband, John." Throughout her professional career Mary has enjoyed raising and training many of her own dogs and has accomplished a variety of distinctions including a champion in competitive obedience, a guide dog for the visually impaired, a certificated therapy dog, and sweet family pets. Mary feels blessed to have been a part of the Country Court practice since June, 2009. She finds the practice to be her ideal veterinary niche to guide families and their pets to better health while improving their pet-owner relationships through wise training. "The team at Country Court has found the perfect recipe in animal health to best serve our clients and their families." Just about every morning Mary enjoys long walks with her dogs Rondo (Lab) and Wilbur (Papillon). She also enjoys bike riding, cross country skiing and doing just about anything with husband John and their children, Phil, Joe and Julie
