Veterinarian Overview
David was born and raised on a farm at the south edge of Mt. Carroll, Illinois. As a youngster, he was active in sports, 4-H, F.F.A. and show steer feeding.After receiving his B.S. degree in Animal Science from the University of Illinois, David worked for a pharmaceutical company to help finance his further education. Upon graduation from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, David was an associate in a practice in Mt. Prospect for one year. Within the next ten years David built practices in Buffalo Grove, Mundelein, Palatine and Lake Zurich. Today David concentrates his efforts on the Buffalo Grove Animal Hospital the other three hospitals have been sold. His areas of special interest are general and orthopedic surgeryDavid is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the Veterinary Orthopedic Society and the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association. He was the president of the Buffalo Grove Board of Health for over 20 years, he is a twice past president of the Illinois Academy of Veterinary Medicine, he headed up the Illinois Academys continuing education program for over ten years and is currently the immediate past president of the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association. At the state level he is a board member of the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association.
