Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Loren Gassler is a 2011 graduate from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has spent the last four years working as an associate at a feline only practice in San Antonio, TX. While practicing she performed a wide variety of soft tissue and oral surgeries. She also spent her time developing her ability to use ultrasound, endoscopy, radiography, and laser therapy. Her previous experience also enabled her to work with a variety of patients, including referral patients. She was also a co-author of an article about small intestinal disease in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medication Association. She is a current member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and the American Veterinary Medication Association. Dr. Gassler was born and raised in Tampa, FL. She has worked with various animals throughout her life, including eagles, hawks, and owls at the Auburn University Southeastern Raptor Center and from a young age has been interested in animal behavior. This continues to be one of her special interests today. In her spare time she enjoys partaking in outdoor activities, watching the Bucs, Lightning, and Rays, and spending time with her husband, family, and all of her furry children (Scooter, Duncan, Dolce, Rusty, Keyana, and Dixie). Dr. Gassler has thoroughly enjoyed working in an all cat clinic and is excited to be joining the family at The Cat Hospital of Palm Harbor. She looks forward to meeting your furry family members.
