Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Noelle McNabb?s lifelong passion for animals has been practiced since 1993, when she graduated from Michigan State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. McNabb?s specialty training included an internship year in medicine and surgery at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, an affiliate of the MSPCA, in Boston, MA, and a 3 year residency in Comparative Ophthalmology at the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine. Following successful completion of extensive testing and residency training, both overseen by the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ACVO), Dr. McNabb was awarded ACVO diplomate status in 1997. Following board certification, Dr. McNabb worked for several years in Massachusetts. She launched small animal ophthalmology services at the nationally renowned Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, as well as Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital. Dr. McNabb returned to Florida practice (and warmer weather!) in 2006, enabling her to broaden her care for both horses and exotic animals, along with small animal patients. Dr. McNabb founded Animal Eye Specialists, a mobile consulting practice in Greater Tampa Bay, and concurrently joined Animal Eye Associates, in Maitland, FL, as staff ophthalmologist. Dr. McNabb and her family relocated to the San Fernando Valley to join the ?West Coast McNabbs?, and establish Animal Vision Care & Surgical Center in 2014. Dr. McNabb has a particular interest in cataract and intraocular surgery, and performs small incision cataract surgery with foldable intraocular lens placement using the latest technology developed not only for pet, but human, cataract surgery. She is also an expert in corneal and eyelid reconstructive surgery, for conditions such as corneal ulceration, entropion and eyelid neoplasia. In addition to over 20 years of experience in specialty practice, Dr. McNabb is the author of several scientific publications and book chapters. Her latest textbook chapter appears in Current Therapy in Equine Medicine, Volume 7, which was published in 2014.
