Dr. Polina Bazlova was born in Latvia, a small country in Europe, and moved to the US when she was very young. She has been a Los Angeles resident ever since and is bilingual in both Russian and English. She received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science with an emphasis in Avian Science from the University of California, Davis and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University. Prior to attending veterinary school, she worked as a positive reinforcement dog trainer and has a special interest in behavior as well as exotic pet medicine including birds and small exotic pets. In her free time, Dr. Bazlova enjoys attending concerts, reading, and spending time with her dog, Xena and cockatiel, Kuzi.
