Veterinarian Overview
Hi there! I am Dr. Sohi. I am very excited to be part of pet health care team/ family at Woodward Pet Hospital. I was born and raised in India and spent my childhood around family cattle. My love for animals lead me to veterinary school and I graduated with B.V.Sc & A.H. in 2001 from the prestigious Punjab Agriculture University in Punjab, India. After working in mixed animal practice for about a year I decided to go back to the veterinary school for a Masters degree in Veterinary Anatomy and Histology. I researched on pre-birth development of lungs in Indian Buffalo. Then I decided to explore the world a little bit and moved to London, England and spent about year and a half as a working holiday maker. I enjoyed getting experience at a small animal veterinary clinic while exploring around Britain. I continued my journey further and landed in Mid-Western state of Iowa in 2006 at Iowa State University's Veterinary Teaching Hospital to pursue advanced clinical training for a year. I moved to Fresno in 2007 and decided to stick around. I worked at various practices in Madera, Fresno and Bakersfield until 2014 and decided to start my own venture by taking over Woodward Pet Hospital from Dr Cox. I am committed to lifelong learning to help keep your furry babies happy and healthy to bring more joy and happiness to your families. I have special interest in dentistry, skin and ear diseases, internal medicine, surgery and pain management. If there is a new way to comfort your pet I am committed to find it. I live in Fresno with my wife Mandeep. We share our home with a mischievous but adorable female dog Sasha, she is a rescue puppy. She adopted me the moment she met me. I enjoy personal fitness, traveling and long drives, listening good music, gardening, cooking, DIY projects and watching movies. I look forward to meeting with you at Woodward Pet Hospital
