Dr. Pompeani is a native of Pittsburgh, PA. After graduating with a BS in Biological Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University, she went on to complete a doctorate in Molecular Biology at Princeton. It was during this time that she adopted her first pet and discovered her passion for helping animals (and their owners), leading her to study veterinary medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. When she finished in 2013, she relocated to the Bay Area to complete a veterinary internship here at PESCM. She has since remained on the team as an ER clinician and is particularly interested in feline medicine, emergency medicine, and the human-animal bond. Audra lives with her husband and their 3 fascinating cats. In her free time she enjoys sports, comedy, music and crafts, as well as continuing to explore all the Bay Area has to offer.
