Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Viru (Viranjini) Gopisetty is a 2015 graduate of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a rigorous rotating internship at VCA San Francisco Veterinary Specialists in June 2016. Originally from India, Viru moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2004. She worked as a research coordinator at the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine before she decided to follow her love for animals and go back to school to earn her DVM degree. She volunteered at the San Francisco SPCA and the SF Childrens Zoo before Vet school. Viru is passionate about geriatric medicine and loves working with pet guardians to help them make the most informed decisions for their beloved pets. The best part of the job for her is interacting with pets and clients. She also has an interest in holistic medicine, physical rehabilitation and shelter medicine. She hopes to work internationally in the future in her home country India. In her free time, Viru loves organic gardening, cooking, watching independent movies and going to the beach with her husband Sri and their wonderful golden retriever Sasha.
