Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Schoengart completed her undergraduate work at Bradley University and graduated in 1989 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. She worked for the next three years for the US Department of Transportation before pursuing her desire to enter the medical profession. From 1992 1996, she completed a degree in Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University outside of Boston, MA. Following this, she entered a one- year internship at a large specialty clinic outside of Detroit, MI. The internship gave her the opportunity to complete rotations in multiple specialty disciplines as well as allowed exposure to emergency work. In 1997, Dr. Schoengart entered general practice, and has practiced in Michigan, Ohio and now in Marin County. She actively enjoys working up internal medicine cases and has a special interest in Greyhound medicine as well as feline diabetes. Currently, she lives in San Rafael with her husband of almost twenty years, two cats, and two very retired and spoiled Greyhounds. She is a current member of both AVMA and CVMA.
