Veterinarian Overview
Dr. McGee grew up in New Hampshire, studied neuroscience at the University of Rochester in upstate New York, and attended veterinary school at the University of Illinois. Before veterinary school, she spent time on Cape Cod rehabilitating wildlife and worked on a farm delivering lambs. In 2007, she joined VCA via Freehold Animal Hospital in New Jersey, and transferred to VCA Animal Hospital of Los Gatos in 2019. Her favorite part of her job is the teaching aspects and the ability to help strength and foster the human-animal bond. She is Fear Free Certified and her professional interests are cats and complex medical patients. Dr. McGee is the proud owner of three cats named Smitty, Mea, and Peanut Butter. In her free time, she enjoys backpacking, playing the piano, reading, and traveling back to the northeast to see family.
