Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Chris Tsai grew up in the Washington D.C. area. After moving to the west coast for his undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley, he moved back east once again to earn his veterinary degree at the University of Pennsylvania in 2003 and practiced for two years in the Philadelphia area. Dr. Tsai missed the beautiful weather in California and moved again back to the west coast where he joined a 24 hour emergency hospital in the Los Angeles area which became a family member of the VCA hospitals in 2007. In 2009, Dr. Tsai transferred to VCA North Coast to serve as the current Medical Director. He is a member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS),the California Veterinary Medical Association(CVMA), and American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and has strong interests in emergency & critical care medicine, internal medicine, surgery, and oncology. During his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities, eating, and spending time with his family - his wife, their two sons and one daughter, and their dogs Maddie and Jelly Bean.
