Veterinarian Overview
Originally from Fort Wayne, IN, Dr. Starks has always had a passion for working with animals and increasing the human animal bond. Dr. Starks attended Purdue University, where he studied Animal Sciences and earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Tuskegee University School of Veterinary medicine in 2012. He completed a 13 month internship in avian and exotic animal medicine and surgery pursuant to his veterinary degree. Prior to joining AZEAH, Dr. Starks worked in Las Vegas at a mixed small animal and exotic practice. He was a very active member of the Las Vegas avicultural society, Southern Nevada Parrot Rescue and Rehabilitation Society, Southwest Exotic Avian Rescue, and the Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary. Dr. Starks shares his home with a variety exotic animals including macaws, a rabbit, and reptiles.
