Erika grew up outside of Atlanta and at a young age, she decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine and hasnt looked back. She attended The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine (Go Dawgs!) and then went on to complete an internship at VCA Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle. This demanding program consisted of emergency and critical care medicine as well as rotations in neurology, internal medicine, surgery and general practice. In January 2014, Erika completed training to become a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist. She can now provide exercises and therapies to help pets with conditions such as arthritis, hip dysplasia, disc disease or who have undergone an orthopedic procedure. Her other professional interests include behavioral medicine, medical neurology, feline and geriatric medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys running, knitting and hanging out with her 3 dogs, Mama, Dylan and Fletcher, as well as 2 cats, a bird and a saltwater fish tank.
