Dr. Phillips grew up in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Caring for family pets and ponies was a passion from a very early age. On the farm he learned a work ethic that embraced sun-up to sun-down hours, and total dedication. That work ethic served him well as a student: at Auburn he was honored with membership in Phi Zeta, the National Veterinary Medical Honor Society, and it has served him well as a veterinarian. Recently, Dr. Phillips was honored at the annual meeting of the South Carolina Association of Veterinarians as South Carolinas Veterinarian of the Year. He was recognized by his peers for being quietly focused and steadfast in his loyalty to the things that are important to him: his family and Veterinary Medicine. He works tirelessly to bring integrity, professionalism, responsibility, and respectability to the practice of Veterinary Medicine. He is also a compassionate employer who genuinely cares for his staff and their welfare. He was recognized for his work as a volunteer in numerous positions the community. Dr. Phillips loves interacting daily with long-standing Cleveland Park clients and friends, and welcoming new clients into the Cleveland Park family. He enjoys surgery, photography, gardening, and he excels at spoiling grandchildren.
