Dr. Helene Tolliver was born and raised in Arizona. She moved to California to pursue her undergraduate education at UC Berkeley and loved California so much she never left. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 2007. After graduation, Dr. Tolliver completed a comprehensive internship program at Pet Care in Santa Rosa with mentorship in emergency/critical care, surgery and internal medicine. She has continued working at emergency and specialty veterinary hospitals after her internship. Dr. Tolliver is interested in internal medicine and emergency veterinary care. Dr. Tolliver loves being a veterinarian because of the joy of helping clients and their fabulous animals. She is always in awe of the amazing strength and resilience of our animal friends through tough illnesses. Dr. Tolliver is an active member in the California Veterinary Medical Association. She is a representative in the House of Delegates for the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association and a member of the California Veterinary Medical Reserve Corps. She also enjoys volunteering with the HSUS Rural Area Veterinary Services. Dr. Tollivers husband is also a veterinarian and together they have two dogs. They both love to travel, cook and eat good food.
