Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Alex Padron completed his undergraduate studies at Florida International University and obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at St. Georges University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. He completed his clinical rotations at Oregon State University. Following his graduation, he completed a one-year general rotating internship at Animal Specialty Group, a large referral specialty practice in Los Angeles, CA. During this time, Dr. Padron had great exposure to emergency and critical care, surgery, neurology, cardiology, oncology, and internal medicine cases. With a deep interest in surgery, he went on to complete a one-year surgical internship at Sonora Veterinary Specialists, a referral specialty practice in Phoenix, AZ. He continued to follow his passion as a surgery intern here at VVSA for the 2012-2013 academic year. Dr. Padron has taken the next step toward board certification by continuing his studies and training at VVSA as our Surgery Resident.
