PLEASE do not use Christopher Capps if you treasure your pet and/or your wallet. This man has caused me much heartache. I have had dogs and cats for the past 50 years and have veterinarians in at least 4 states...none have been so inept as Capps...loves to order tests and more tests, fails to notice the obvious even when pointed out .... has 'suggested' incorrect diagnoses' than have delayed treatment and proved VERY costly. I have just withdrawn from PALMETTO ANIMAL CLINIC because he continues on staff ... in less than 5 years he is on his second practice. I will miss Dr. Gagliardi and the staff but Capps has had three turns at bat and has struck out every-time.

Do not entrust the veterinary care of your pets to Dr. Christopher Capps. I have never had a negative experience that caused me to grab my pet and run out of an office mid-appointment before in my life...until today. When you can hear the vet in the next room hurling profanities at your cat as he tries to draw blood, that's a major red flag. I have worked with animals my entire life and I am very well aware that cats can be especially difficult (I have plenty of scars to prove it), but I am also well aware of the extreme importance of maintaining composure, patience, and professionalism on the job. I let him have a pass the first time I heard Rufus growl and he yelled out "D***it!" However, when it escalated to screaming "F***ing calm down, cat!", enough was enough. Contrary to popular belief, losing your temper will not, in fact, calm down an agitated cat, and it most certainly won't make a good impression on a brand new client. If that's the way you feel inclined to treat animals, I would never in a million years trust you to provide compassionate care to my pet. I do have to acknowledge the amazing receptionist, LaDonna, and the sweet office manager, Kathy, who both went above and beyond to reach out and apologize on behalf of Foothills for this very unfortunate experience. As for Dr. Capps, he hid in the lab and didn't even bother to say one word to me after I made it clear that I could hear everything he said through the paper thin walls. Pet parents, beware!
