Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Shaylin Duncan is a 3rd-generation native of Greenville, SC. She graduated summa cum laude from Winthrop University with a degree in Biology, and went on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation, Dr. Duncan started her veterinary career in Augusta, GA where she served as an emergency veterinarian with a 24-hour emergency and critical care facility. In the fall of 2014, Dr. Duncan elected to return home to the beautiful Appalachian foothills. She took this opportunity to transition her career away from emergency medicine, instead focusing on providing life-long care and forming lasting bonds with clients and their beloved pets. She and her fiancé, an Atlanta native, moved to Greenville in late 2014. Dr. Duncans professional interests include emergency and critical care, soft tissue surgery, diagnostic imaging, and client education. In her free time, she enjoys cycling on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, hiking, camping in Pisgah, and exploring the local cuisine. Dr. Duncan shares her life with a shy hound-mix named Penny, a temperamental calico named Phoebe, and a gluttonous guinea pig named HINI.
