Veterinarian Overview

Dr. Keller is a graduate from Kansas State University. He received his doctorate in 1982. Although Dr. Keller was born and raised in Kansas, he has been an Oklahoma transplant since graduation. Dr. Keller perfected his skills with his own mixed animal practice catering to farm animals as well as cats and dogs in Coweta, Oklahoma. After selling that practice he opened a small animal exclusive practice, Quail Creek Veterinary Hospital, in Skiatook, Oklahoma. He was also a member of the staff at Advanced Care Veterinary Hospital in Sapulpa, Oklahoma where he still works periodically as a relief veterinarian. He has special interest in canine athletes and has competed in and judged AKC sanctioned Field Trials for Retriever breeds. Tulsa General was very lucky to welcome Dr. Keller to our staff last year. He now owns Tulsa Veterinary Endoscopy, a special surgery service he offers here at Tulsa General, using both rigid and flexible scopes for minimally-invasive surgery procedures. Although this type of surgery is common in human medicine it is cutting edge in the field of veterinary medicine. Dr. Keller owns the latest in state of the art rigid and flexible endoscopic equipment. These minimally invasive procedures result in much less pain, quicker recovery, and greater safety for the more compromised geriatric patients. Dr. Keller continues his studies in endoscopic procedures taking classes at Colorado State University on a regular basis. Dr. Keller’s wife Linda McCutchin is a ballroom dance instructor. He has four sons; Dr. Ryan Keller an anesthesiologist working in Colorado, Ryder Keller a hunting and fishing guide and dog trainer in South Dakota, Casey Keller an entrepreneur and businessman in Edmund, Oklahoma, and Montana Keller a student in medical school. Dr. Keller’s furry children include Ted and LuLu (two Labrador Retrievers), Larry (Dachshund), Maggie (Papillion), and Mollie (a Boxer mix). Dr. Keller and the staff of Tulsa General invite you to schedule an endoscopic procedure or a consultation to answer any questions or concerns about the procedures he offers. Tulsa General welcomes you for these procedures and does not require you to change from your current veterinarian to utilize this service.
