Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Kathryn Downie actually began her career as a registered nurse, she worked for the Tulsa Heath Department after earning her nursing degree from the University of Tulsa in 2005. Later she decided to combine her love of animals with her medical knowledge. In 2012 she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University. In her fourth year at OSU she received the award for Outstanding Senior in Ophthalmology. Dr. Downie continues to explore ophthalmology as well as internal medicine. She also has a special interest in ultrasound procedures and feline medicine. She is a very compassionate doctor with a soft heart and a keen mind. Dr. Downie is married to Shaun, an officer in the Tulsa Police Department. Her furry family members are Tucker a yorkie mix, Penny a three legged rescue, Timmy a black cat, and Winston a silver tabby.
