Dr. Hope Poffenbarger was born and raised in Walkersville, MD where she cultivated her love for animals and medicine at her fathers veterinary clinic. She graduated from the University of Maryland with an Animal Science degree in 2007 and then Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. After spending 2 years working in West Virginia, Hope is very excited to continue practicing veterinary medicine at Linganore Veterinary Clinic starting in October 2013. Hope enjoys travel, fitness, music, reading and spending time with friends and family in her free time.

I absolutely adore Dr P. She takes great care of my cat, even recommending treatment that will help her health as she grows older. She is always ready and willing to listen to the pet parents and even takes time to chat about you or your family. She calls the day after my cat has been sick to see how she is. It’s the same when she has surgery. She is such a caring caring person! I can’t believe she’s only been with Linganore Vet. Seems like she’s been there since we got our cat in 2007! If you are looking for a new vet or to transfer go see Dr P. You won’t be sorry!
