Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Wheeler was born and raised in upstate New York. He received his bachelors degree from Michigan State University and graduated veterinary school in 2012 from Ross University School of Veterinary medicine with his clinical year at the University of Missouri. Following veterinary school, he did an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson where he met his now wife, Jessica. Following this, he went on to do advanced surgical training at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital in Akron Ohio and Emergency and Critical Care at West Park Animal Hospital in Cleveland Ohio. He recently has moved back to Arizona to join the AMSC team and to serve all manner of medical and surgical needs of your pet. His special interests include advanced soft tissue surgery, endocrinology, and care of senior pets. When not working, he enjoys spending time with Jessica and their fur family of five dogs and one cat as well as traveling whenever the opportunity arises.
